All Black 335th Station Hospital, Tagap Ga, Burma

Capt. Dr. Clarance David Hinton, Army MS
Dr. Clarence D. Hinton and Dr. Carl S. Jenkins received the very same military orders to report to Burma, and together with many other courageous African-American men and women, they comprised the 335th Station Hospital. Dr. Hinton left a beautiful young bride, ViCurtis, at home in Washington, DC; and his beloved children, Audrey, Diane, and David, were yet to be born. Together, these brave soldiers served their country diligently in a foreign jungle. And when America’s victory had been insured, they returned home to their families to continue their lives of accomplishment, service, and dignity. -- Audrey Hinton
